SAN SCANDINAVIA

San Scandinavia is inspired by traditional Nordic aesthetics and represents my ties to Scandinavia and appreciation for the art and design that comes from there. The ‘rock’ is a cast porcelain sculpture based on a red chert found in the Marin Headlands. Red chert are typically found along the San Andreas fault and stands as symbol of my years in California. The piece quite literally shows how this place has left an everlasting impact on my Scandinavian self.
